Middle School Softball
Ages
This program is for girls in 6th through 8th grades at New Fairfield Middle School.
When
Tryouts on Saturday, March 27th 1-3pm at the Old High School Gym in New Fairfield.
The season will run from April to May.
Where
Games and practices will be at Memorial Field on Brush Hill Rd. in New Fairfield.
Practices
There will be 1-2 practices per week.
Games
Expect to play 1 game per week, typically on Fridays.
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided by NFGS. Players will need to provide pants and socks.

What if I can't make it to tryouts on March 27th?

How is this different than Recreational or Travel Softball?
This is a tryout based team that will have cuts if necessary. Opponents will be other middle school teams in the area. The skill level of players is typically in between Recreational and Travel. Commitment level is also expected to be in between both levels with 1-2 practices and one game per week taking place in April and May.
Does this program take the place of Recreational or Travel softball?
No, this team is in addition to those commitments. MS practices and games will be during the week. Other athletes in other towns also play travel in addition to their school teams.

Our inaugural team for middle school students looking for more competition than recreational softball without the commitment of Travel/Club level. This is for 6-8th grade students at New Fairfield Middle School. Register by 3/20 to tryout.
